Inspired by a call to reimagine the 21st-century church through the lens of Jesus’ teachings about the biblical narrative of the Gospel of The Kingdom of God.
The Wonder Fellowship of Churches
The Wonder Fellowship of Churches (WFC) operates as a Fellowship of Christian ministers and churches united by a shared mandate, vision, and mission.
Their vision is to co-labor with Jesus in building the most compelling churches of the 21st century, dedicated to driving the transition towards fully embracing Jesus’ message about the Kingdom of God. By the end of the century, they aim to have a global reach of 100 churches.
Working towards this vision, their mission is to co-labor with Jesus in building a fellowship of mature disciples committed to accelerating the church’s focus on the same Kingdom of God message. This combined approach emphasizes the collaborative building of healthy churches and the nurturing of committed disciples, working together to fulfill the Wonder Association’s vision.
Despite this operational distinction, Wonder Association and Wonder Fellowship of Churches share a fundamental purpose: reimagining Christianity and its impact on society.
Building the church through maturing in understanding the church, what we call the church, and what we do as the church.
Five Key Distinctives
The churches in our fellowship are committed to the five distinctive ways of operation that define the Wonder Association’s core mission, vision, values, beliefs, and practices. These principles represent our vision for building God’s kingdom in the 21st century and guide our approach to faith, community, and transformation.
- Full Gospel: Wonder Fellowship embraces the rich tapestry of Christian traditions and diverse expressions of faith. We believe God’s work unfolds through various christian movements, each contributing unique strengths and perspectives on the transformative power of the Full Gospel of the Kingdom of God. This includes, but is not limited to, salvation, healing, sanctification, righteousness, justice, and the empowering gifts of the Holy Spirit. Inspired by this richness, we harness the goodness within christian movements, gleaning their strengths while acknowledging areas for growth. We embrace historical perspectives while we forge our unique path for the 21st-century disciple and church.
- Love & Unity: We foster a community grounded in truth, righteousness, and justice, actively combating all forms of bias that seek to elevate one person or group as better than another. We celebrate the inherent beauty of God’s people in all their richness, recognizing the sacredness of ethnicities, richness of cultures, and diversity in socioeconomic backgrounds within the body of Christ. This shared humanity is the essence of the “One New Humanity” we strive to embody without commoditizing the presence of the minority.
- Shared Glory: Together, we strive for a world rooted in truth, righteousness, and justice. Our pursuit of “Shared Glory” lies in the collective experience of achieving positive outcomes and blessings through collaboration, resource sharing, and building genuine connections.
- Prophetic & Apostolic Direction: Prophetic Apostolic Direction is a unique approach to leadership that integrates divine revelation, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving to anticipate future needs and challenges. Inspired by a vision for a better future, this leadership style empowers individuals and organizations to co-create innovative solutions that transform communities and contribute to a more just and peaceful world.
- Solutions: We co-labor with Jesus to empower people to experience the reality of God’s power at work in their lives. By engaging our communities through our ” works of service” and practical solutions, we address their needs while demonstrating the Gospel’s transformative power. This collaborative approach builds people up, energizes them with a tangible sense of God’s presence and care, and awakens individuals to their potential to contribute to a more righteous, just, and peaceful society.
